Privacy
The Mirror only works if you write honestly. So here, plainly, is what happens to what you write — no surprises buried in fine print.
What we store
Three things: your account (your name and email, handled through our sign-in provider, Clerk); your writing (the notes you make in each section of a Mirror); and the reflections produced from that writing. Payments are handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
How the reflection is made
When you press Reflect, your writing for that Mirror is sent to Anthropic’s API — the makers of Claude — which reads it and produces the reflection. This is AI processing of what you wrote, and we want to be straight about that. What it does is reflect: it works only from your own words and hands them back to you. It doesn’t invent facts about you, and it isn’t used to make anything for anyone else.
What we don’t do
Your writing and your reflections are not used to train AI models, and they are never sold or shared for advertising. Under Anthropic’s commercial API terms, content sent through the API isn’t used to train their models. Your words are yours.
How long we keep it
For as long as you keep your account, so you can return to your writing and past reflections whenever you like. When you delete a Mirror or your account, the writing and reflections it holds are removed.
Your right to delete
You can delete any single Mirror, or your whole account, from your account page at any time. Deleting a Mirror removes its writing and reflections; deleting your account removes everything and closes your sign-in. This is permanent, and it is your right — including under UK data-protection law.
